Card Extra Dr. Telek R’Mor from Kathy McCracken (05/05/2001) |

Long ago, in a quadrant far away, the First Anthology produced a preview card with a Voyager logo that revolutionized Romulan decks. Dr. Telek R’Mor, with Astrophysics x2 and Stellar Cartography, was a perfect fit for the many medium-to-high-point space missions available to his affiliation (some Romulan-only). In those days of 30-card draw decks and no Balancing Acts, he enabled an extremely focused deck archetype that brought the Romulans to a power never before seen in Star Trek CCG. Some four years later, many players won't risk an all-space deck any more, but in black-border final form in the Voyager expansion, his skills are just as useful to the space-oriented side of any Romulan deck. The premiere missions Explore Typhone Expanse, Study Lonka Pulsar, and Investigate "Shattered Space", at 35, 40, and 45 points respectively, along with five other lower-point missions, can be solved either by the good doctor alone or with assistance from one personnel: Nick Locarno. With both SCIENCE classification and ENGINEER skill, he's highly useful for many dilemmas such as Scientific Method and Radioactive Garbage Scow. And his Honor and high INTEGRITY are still welcome commodities despite the gains the Romulans have made in those areas. But with Delta Quadrant missions (and his very own Temporal Micro-Wormhole to get there), he can branch out beyond the Romulans. R'Mor can contribute one or more skills to six different missions in the Delta Quadrant, all of them doable either by "any crew" or with a single [NA] personnel in the crew or Away Team. But do you really care what affiliation icons are on the missions? Not with The Vidiian Sodality, The Kazon Collective, and Temporal Micro-Wormhole to allow him to work with just about anyone. His special skill will let him report aboard any ship, so you have no worries about getting him to any quadrant regardless of what affiliation you play. Combos:
