For someone interested only in guns and money, Hagath's skill selection is surprisingly good. As a CIVILIAN with Anthropology, he's all you need to deal with Primitive Culture. His ENGINEER skill is called for on many dilemmas, as well as several Federation missions. While Acquisition and Treachery x2 may not help you in overcome a wide variety of dilemmas, they are perfect for solving a number of Ferengi (or Romulan) missions once you do.

Of course, Hagath's real utility comes not in a mission solving deck, but in a battle deck. Wherever he goes, you can report hand weapons there. Personnel battle decks are stronger if you can strike early before the opponent scores too many points. This skill lets you just do that, by freeing you from your facility and allowing you to go chase down your opponent without waiting to report those few extra hand weapons. And of course, as an arms dealer, you can use Hagath to report the mother of all hand weapons, the Breen CRM114.

Combos:

  • Hagath + Orb of Wisdom: Hagath allows your weapons to report to his location, and the Orb of Wisdom will let one of them play free every turn. Hmm, toss in HQ: Return Orb to Bajor and now suddenly Hagath is looking good to yet another affiliation, the Bajorans.
  • The above + Quark OR Grand Nagus Zek: Of course, the Ferengi have their share of Orb icons available to them as well...
