Card Extra Transporter Control Module from Sean O´Reilly (04/16/2001) |

The one weakness that the Kazon have (other than constantly forgetting their appointments with Mot the Barber) is that their facilities and ships don't have transporters. It could be difficult to play an affiliation that doesn't have built-in transporters when you're so used to having them. "I'm beaming down to the planet..." "I'm beaming from this ship to another ship..." "I'll beam from the outpost to my ship..." It's so common, we forget that before the Kazon affiliation appeared only the Phoenix and the Vulcan Lander (both native to 2063) didn't have transporters. Well, this equipment card is the solution. Just like the Ferengi need their Latinum and the Jem'Hadar need their White, the Kazon need their Transporter Control Modules. Play the Module on one of your Kazon ships or facilities and then with the required skill present you can go beam to your heart's delight. Plus, if you include multiple copies of the Module, you can discard an extra one from your hand when you play either Mutation or Remodulation to draw an extra card or two. Even if you want to play a transporter-free Kazon deck, there are some other reasons to play with the Module. A few dilemmas require beaming (Tarellian Plague Ship, Portal Guard) and if you can't beam, your entire crew or Away Team will die. It's always better to be safe than to be dead. Combos
