You need some extra power to one of your ship's systems? What can you do? Do what the engineers of the U.S.S. Voyager often did... temporarily divert power from some ship assembly to a different unit which needs the extra juice. Or you can get even more creative and boost the power output past 100% so none of the ship's systems suffer.

Divert Power is easy to get into play because it's a Captain's Order - which are downloadable with a Ready Room Door. With a spaceline of twelve missions in a Voyager-only environment, there may be times diverting power becomes very useful. Say Kathryn Janeway runs off to the farthest planet with a Female’s Love Interest; you may want to go and rescue her. Divert some power from your SHIELDS and WEAPONS to boost your RANGE, go and beam her up, and return a turn or two faster. Or say your Vidiian Interceptor is being attacked by a bigger Kazon ship... divert power to SHIELDS and survive to steal organs another day.

Combos:

  • Divert Power + A Change of Plans: The Borg can easily download the objective and make any Cube attributes 10-23-23.
  • Divert Power + Cytherians: Travel faster to the end of the spaceline with the added two RANGE.
