Card Extra Hero of the Empire from Evan Lorentz (07/19/2000) |

Barry Waddle had it all figured out: time travel back to the moment where it all went wrong for him, assassinate Captain Kirk, and become the Klingon Empire's greatest hero next to Kahless himself. He even had the design of his statue in the Hall of Warriors all worked out. Well, his plan may have been thwarted in the episode, but in the game you can have another run at it. Hero of the Empire downloads Captain Kirk to Deep Space Station K-7. If you then succeed in using a Tribble Bomb to kill him (or if your opponent does something foolish like blowing up K-7 before Barry's bomb can do its thing), history is altered in your favor. Turns out without Kirk around, things all over the Quadrant went quite a bit differently. All Alpha Quadrant missions are affected, whether not yet completed or already solved; missions your opponent solves are worth 10 fewer points, while Klingon missions you solve (without the aid of the now-beaten-down Federation) are worth 10 more. Though obviously an objective aimed primarily at Klingons, this is not the only route you can try. The Ferengi, for example, could use Bribery to capitalize on a suite of Klingon missions. A Romulan player could select some of their many missions that share a Klingon icon and reap a similar benefit. After all, Barry Waddle is Non-Aligned by the 24th century, making it quite possible for other affiliations to try to pull off Hero of the Empire. Combos:
