Now Captain Kirk's "dearest" adversary can be one of a Klingon player's dearest assets. A premium fixed in every Klingon preconstructed starter deck for The Trouble With Tribbles, Captain Koloth can work with a wide variety of strategies. Going for missions? He offers a beefy skill selection, including the big dilemma-busting skill of SCIENCE (and the often-called-for OFFICER classification). Diplomacy and Anthropology are not the most common mission-solving skills for the Klingons, but do show up on some of the highest-point choices they have, including Investigate Alien Probe, New Contact, and Pegasus Search. Going for battle? Captain Koloth shines there as well. He has the right classification for it, and a matching ship. The Gr'oth may be a 23rd-century ship, but fortunately he can offset that in two different ways - the traditional matching commander benefits of Captain’s Log and Defiant Dedication Plaque, and a special skill enabled by adding Original Series Klingons to his crew!
